Polyguard PolyPhen® Phenolic Insulation 25/50 – flame/smoke
Polyguard?PolyPhen®?thermal insulation is a lightweight rigid foam designed for piping systems, tanks, vessels, and ductwork in commercial and industrial applications. The PolyPhen® rigid foam insulation products may be used for pipe work and equipment operating within the process temperature range of -290°F to +250°F (-180°C to + 120°C). It is easy to transport, handle and install and is manufactured to provide optimum thermal performance and flame resistance, low smoke emissions, environmental safety, and efficient cost.

Duna Corafoam® IMC fabricates and distributes Corafoam®, Duna-Usa’s high-density rigid polyurethane foam, into many different configurations of pipe supports, in densities from 4 lbs. – 20 lbs.

?DuPont® XPS PIB is a closed cell thermal plastic, void free, seamless foam insulation billet designed for mechanical fabrication, mechanical applications, including but not limited to cold pipe, vessel, and duct applications, and is commonly installed on industrial refrigeration pipe applications, cold storage piping, ice rinks, chilled water, and glycol with a process temperature range of -320°F to +165°F.

For insulating mechanical systems, fiberglass pipe insulation offers cost effective solutions for a wide range of uses. Fiberglass insulation can be used for hot, cold, concealed, and exposed piping from 0° F (18° C) to 850° F (454° C) in commercial buildings and industrial facilities and process or power plants. Fiberglass pipe insulation is jacketed with self-sealing all service (ASJ) vapor retarder jacket.

IMC distributes the quality fiberglass products of both Owens Corning and Johns Manville.

We also supply flexible duct insulation from Certainteed Insulation.

Insulation is used to insulate rectangular and round heating, ventilating and air conditioning ductwork. It provides thermal efficiency that reduces unwanted heat loss or gain from equipment and ductwork. When properly installed in the correct thickness, this product virtually eliminates condensation problems on cold duct surfaces. SoftTouch Duct Wrap is suitable for use with most heating, ventilating and air conditioning ductwork operating at temperatures from 35° to 250° (1.7° to 121°) for faced SoftTouch Duct Wrap, and from 35° to 450° (1.7° to 232°) for unfaced SoftTouch Duct Wrap.

Also part of our extensive line of medium temperature insulation products is Hamfab Type 650° pipe fittings. HAMFAB fitting insulators are unique, and of superior quality, because they’re molded, not mitered and glued together from sections of straight run insulation or machine routed from flat stock board. HAMFAB Type 650° premolded insulators are designed to insulate heating, cooling, or process piping systems operating at temperatures from -20° to +650°. The insulators are normally applied by placing two premolded matching half-sections over the pipe fitting, and joining them together using tape, wire, or adhesive (applied to the seams). After being joined, the fitting insulator is ready for jacketing, vapor barrier coating, or other finishes.

IMC supplies a wide range of high-temperature insulation and products.

Rockwool and Johns Manville mineral wool pipe covering and board. These rigid pipe sections are strong, preformed mineral wool insulation with excellent thermal performance.  Mineral wool pipe insulation is a non-combustible product with a melting point of approximately 2150° F (1177° C), which gives it excellent fire resistance properties. Mineral wool is a water repellent yet vapor permeable material that is ideal for steam and process pipe systems operating at temperatures up to 1200° F (650° C), where energy conservation, personnel protection and fire control are concerns.  Mineral wool board is rigid stone wool industrial insulation board, designed for use where high temperature, fire resistance, and moisture resistance are concerns. It is lightweight, durable with good compressive resistance.  It is available in different densities and dimensions to meet various application requirements.

Also manufactured by Johns Manville, Thermo-12 Gold is a pre-formed, high temperature, abuse-resistant pipe and block insulation with exceptional structural strength, composed of hydrous calcium silicate for use on systems operating up to1200°F(650°C). It is inorganic, noncombustible, Asbestos Free and meets or exceeds the physical and thermal property requirements of ASTM C533, Type 1. Integral to Thermo-12 Gold is , a distinctive formula and process that inhibits corrosion to outside surfaces of pipe and equipment.

The perlite fitting covers from SMC are molded high temperature insulation composed of a fine grade perlite, sodium silicate binders and a new uniformly dispersed fiber reinforcing system that makes WR-1200 the strongest perlite insulation commercially produced. It is recommended for use in industrial processing and power generating facilities on process equipment and piping that operates continuously or cyclically at temperatures to 1200°. It is will not absorb water if accidentally exposed to water. Wr-1200 also has a second-line defense against corrosion. If moisture and chlorides leak through seams and joints, WR-1200’s reserve of soluble silicates which will form a protective film on the metal surface to seal-out the chlorides and moisture. The ICA M.W. 1200° pipe fitting insulator is serviceable to 1200°F and was designed to be utilized in conjunction with any high temperature straight-run insulation of equal surface temperature capabilities. ICA M.W. 1200° pipe fitting insulators have been employed successfully in mineral wool, calcium silicate, and expanded perlite systems. The ICA product is molded under extreme heat and pressure from uncured green felt which is impregnated with a thermo-setting resin. The ICA M.W. 1200° fitting insulator is composed of fibers that are intermeshed in different directions, resulting in superior strength. The ICA is remarkably durable insulator, exhibiting superior load-bearing characteristics when compared to previous applications, for fitting areas. The ICA M.W. 1200° is actually strong enough to be utilized on line, removed for inspection or maintenance purposes, and utilized once again.
